Lawyer Mari Davtyan explained the persecution leading “eagle and Tails” Regina Todorenko the word about domestic violence. About it Davtyan said in an interview with “Izvestiya”.
“Todorenko relayed a dangerous myth, that is repeated millions of people”, — said the lawyer.
According to her, the case presenter was a rare example of what a public person able to admit his mistake.
She noted that when a person talks about the guilt of the victims in the incident for an audience of millions, it carries negative consequences. Davtyan pointed out that women who suffered from domestic violence, and regularly blame them for what happens to them.
“Society does not always support them”, she said.
Todorenko in an interview with Peopletalk on YouTube said that women can be guilty that they are beaten.
“Your husband beats you, why do you not think? What did you do to ensure that he did not beat you?” — said TV presenter.
