a Special contest, according to Chukalin, is based on the traditional competition of presidential grants – same application form, virtually the same demands on the participants. “But it’s not the format that you went to the street with hot food and handed out to those who came. Such work can only be part of the project. That is, a person can feed the whole of life, and you can help him change his life,” – emphasizes the Director of the Fund.
By order of Vladimir Putin, the presidential grants were allocated three billion roubles for support of socially oriented organizations involved in the fight against coronavirus. “Of these, 1 billion we sent to the previous contest, taking more than 500 projects that were also associated with this subject, and 2 billion will be allocated for this competition,” explained Chekalin.
