Vladimir, how was your idea born?
Vladimir Gabulov: will Tell you how it was. We knew that to develop a football club without the involvement of fans is impossible. To raise the younger generation in the Academy without being tied to a specific city too – guys should grow up including patriotism, traditions, love for their club. Legally “Olympus” was registered in Khimki. We already rebooked actual address in Moscow, but to find its audience of fans in the capital very difficult. It may take years, maybe decades. We decided that we needed to conduct negotiations with representatives of one of the neighboring cities – such as in the suburbs. Our founder had the idea to talk with the leaders of “the city” to join forces to expand professional, financial and administrative capabilities and create a single, potentially powerful structure.
How it happened next?
Vladimir Gabulov: I got in touch with the leadership of “Dolgoprudny”, they responded with great enthusiasm. Moreover, we are just a couple of days and discussed all the nuances. Quickly came to the conclusion that joining clubs possible and will bring results. Understand: we need a General structure which allow to develop all areas of football management. We create not just a club, this project, which includes the vertical from the Academy to the club, competing at the highest level. In the early stages in FNL. The discussions were pleasantly surprised that the leaders of “Dolgoprudny”, our founders and I shared a vision for how to develop the club.
What’s new club strategy?
Vladimir Gabulov: We must invest in the younger generation. The financial costs of preparation of players must be rational. Only with this approach you can build the right structure. Our opinion: if there is a team playing at a high level, then there must be another youth playing lower rank. And for a young team in an Amateur League. The Foundation of all this vertical will be an Academy, which shall be prepared annually for all of these teams ambitious and talented young people.
Why did you choose “recently”?
Vladimir Gabulov: this club is already established football tradition, its fans, well-built management structure. Have experience training youth. At the end of the season the team won their PFL area second place to the first, but missed just one point – this deserves respect. This is a private club, not related to budget financing. In the new season, together, we would like to play in the FNL. I want to say that we as a new club already meet all the requirements of licensure��used to participate in the First division. I would also like to declare a second team in the PFL, and the third in an Amateur League KFK.
what about infrastructure?
Vladimir Gabulov: We deal with this issue. Decided on the place where the team will be based not far from the city. Now we put on the synthetic field, then proceed to natural. Most importantly, from the administration of Dolgoprudny want to get the consent to implement the development plan of the Academy.

Vladimir Gabulov: “Olympus recently”. Our unity is on the basis of the legal entity of “recently”. Now utrace legal formalities with the RFU, are in talks about changing team names. Still, the Association is infrequent practice. I want to emphasize that all the funds invested in the club, are private. The founders come to the club with equal shares – 50 to 50. One of our main objectives is the development of football in Dolgoprudny. It including social responsibility will attract the youth to the Academy and the fans to the stadium.
Will you buy experienced, known players, or basically going to play the youth?
Vladimir Gabulov: While I can say for sure that the coach will Sarovic Rinat Bilyaletdinov. The senior trainer will be Dmitry Efremov, head of “Dolgoprudny” last season. It has the category “A” now goes into the training category of “Pro”. Main emphasis will be placed on work with young people. In the “Dolgoprudny” is experienced, skilful players, which we expect to assist in the development of promising youngsters. The new team will include the best players of “Dolgoprudny” and “Olympus”. By the way, experienced management staff “Dolgoprudny” will continue to work in the new club. It will also have a Board of Directors, which will include two of the founder from “the city” and one from “Olympus” and I’ll take the position of its President.
How realistic are the chances of a new team to be in first division next season?
Vladimir Gabulov: We have applied for licensing from the United club. At each stage, we engaged in dialogue with the leadership of the RFU, FNL and PFL, not to make legal errors or inaccuracies. At the moment in Germany are planning the participation of 22 club: winners of five zones of PFL and 17 members of the first division. It happened because ��that the RFU took the decision: from the FNL at the end of the season no one crashes.
Now it all depends on the licensing: if one or more clubs from this list it will not, then to consider are other potential participants. Among them are the clubs that also are licensed for FNL, but the principle of the sport to qualify could not. More complete criteria are later determined by the Executive Committee of the RFU, but the main thing – compliance with the requirements of the first division. Let me reiterate: I am glad that our club all of these parameters takes place. We have a stadium and a functioning Academy teams in each age group, and 100% private funding to provide this structure. Not all clubs have such opportunities.
