Byrd’s disappearance to law enforcement authorities told his wife. The last time she saw him alive on March 31 near their home. The body was found within 1.6 km from the site.
Peter beard famous images of Africa’s wildlife. In the mid-1960s, he bought a ranch in Kenya, where he studied photography for several decades. He also was friends with artist Andy Warhol and was a regular at new York club Studio 54.
