A former contender for the post of President of Belarus Valery Tsepkalo, who previously fled to Russia for fear to be detained, went to the Ukraine. This was stated press Secretary of the politician Alexey urban, reports “Interfax-West”.
According to urban, currently Tsepkalo is located in Kiev. The purposes of the visit of the opposition in the Ukrainian capital, the press Secretary said.
Earlier Tsepkalo called their main purpose is to show the Belarusian society “the essence of the regime”, to demonstrate how the President of the country Alexander Lukashenko “violates the Constitution, laws, falsificare documents”.
“Being outside of Belarus, I can stay media. And Lukashenko gift in the form of remand me into custody will not receive”, — said Tsepkalo.
The opposition left Belarus together with children, for fear of persecution. Tsepkalo is not officially registered as a candidate. In late June, the interior Ministry launched a preliminary inquiry about his “illegal activities” at the request of the owner of the group of construction companies, who claims that the politician did not pay him for building a house.
