Where does Germany store its nuclear waste? The search for a final repository was supposed to be completed in 2013, but the date is unlikely to be met.
According to the Federal Environment Ministry, the search for a repository for German nuclear waste can no longer be completed by 2031 as intended.
This emerges from a document from the Bundesgesellschaft für EndRepository mbH (BGE) commissioned with the search, the ministry said on Thursday at the request of the German Press Agency.
