The Fantasia International Film Festival will present Nicolas Cage with an honorary lifetime achievement award during its 27th edition, which will be held from July 20 to August 9.

This award will be given to the American actor on the sidelines of the screening of his most recent film, Sympathy for the Devil, directed by Yuval Adler.

“After more than 40 years in the cinema, Nicolas Cage has distinguished himself by providing unforgettable performances and characters in dramas such as Leaving Las Vegas, comedies such as Vampire’s Kiss, action films such as Face/Off or even thrillers like Mandy,” the Fantasia organization wrote in a statement.

During the festival, more than 120 feature films and 200 short films will be screened. The film We Are Zombies, by the Quebec collective RKSS, formed by François Simard, Anouk Whissell and Yoann-Karl Whissell, will have its world premiere at the end of the event, the organization revealed on Thursday.
