Looked like a tornado cloud vortex formed due to Cumulus rain clouds hung on Friday evening over the Moscow region, Orekhovo-Zuyevo, told RIA Novosti leading specialist of the center weather "Phobos" Mikhail Leus.
Earlier in the network appeared the photo which was allegedly captured the tornado, which was formed in Orekhovo-Zuyevo.
"It’s called the cloud-a funnel, it is irrelevant to the tornado, it’s just an attempt of formation of a tornado. A cloud shape that is formed when Cumulus-rain (the clouds – ed.), indirectly it is related to storm activity," said Leus.
The forecaster noted that if such a cloud has evolved finally, if there was a more powerful cloud, it could lead to a storm, strong wind, "but in this situation it was just a pretty picture".
On the question of whether in Moscow to form a real tornado, Leus replied in the affirmative.
