Today, Belarus held presidential elections, the turnout which was more than 80%. At this moment is the painstaking process of counting votes, but by that time already known to the preliminary results of the last vote. According to the national exit poll, the victory on elections was won by the incumbent country leader, 65-year-old Alexander Lukashenko.
According to the survey conducted by Youth laboratory of sociological research of sroo “BCMA”, Lukashenko won 79.7% of the votes, while his main rival Svetlana Tikhanovski enlisted the support of 6.8% of Belarusians. The percentage of votes against all, according to the exit poll, was 9.2. All in all, the survey took part more than 12 thousand people.
the radio station “Freedom” has published an alternative forecast. According to the estimates of another exit poll, by 19 stations located abroad, the victory in the elections was won by Svetlana Tikhanovski, for it gave their votes to more than 71% of citizens of Belarus. However, Lukashenka received support only from 6.25% of the voters.
Recall that in case of victory in the presidential election Alexander Lukashenko be re-elected for sixth consecutive term. It is noteworthy that the current President has been in power the longest serving heads of state of Europe (excluding monarchs) and the post-Soviet space, — he is at the helm already more than 26 years.
