Free exhibition "the reserve" opened at VDNKH in the pavilion № 67, guests to the exhibit can see the objects of national architectural carving of the XVI-XIX centuries and to explore the monuments of wooden architecture located on the territory of the Museum-reserve "Kolomenskoye", the correspondent of TASS on Friday. For visitors it will be available from 8 August to 18 October.
"Kolomenskoye" is considered the first wood Museum-reserve in Russia.
This exhibition project, where we not only show what is stored, but it is a tribute to those people who stood at the origins of the Museum-reserve. This, in my opinion, a sign of respect for the restorers, Museum workers", – said Deputy Director for exhibition work "Kolomenskoye" Igor Kornilov.
The exhibition is divided into four themed zones and begins with the main exhibit is a carved pediment of the house of the Nizhny Novgorod region, made by Russian carpenters, and woodcarvers. The house has survived since 1870. In the second section, guests can get acquainted with ancient Russian fortification architecture.
Next, the visitors will proceed to the third interactive zone, which is dedicated to plotnikovskaya skills. Here is the layout of the Palace of Tsar Alexei Mikhailovich in Kolomenskoye. In the end visitors will be acquainted with the history of the Museum-reserve.
Entrance to the exhibition is free but visitors are planning to conduct tours. Tour price for one person is 80 rubles.
