The Pit Caribou pub once again cedes its barrel lines to Icelandic brewer friends, who are returning to Montreal for the eighth year.

Products from Borg and Gæðingur microbreweries will be available on tap and in bottles from November 9-12.

The first will offer no less than nine products, including some early products, including Bríó, a German pilsner with Hallertauer Mittelfrüh hops voted best pilsner in the world at the World Beer Awards in 2012.

The famous sheep dung beer will be back, this time in its Surtur Nr.30 Imperial Stout version, not to mention Garún Nr.19.4, an imperial stout matured in Brennivín barrels – this Icelandic brandy will also be available for tasting .

As for the half-dozen products offered by Gæðingur brugghús, we must mention the blueberry Blágosi and the raspberry Eldgosi, two goses acidified with Skyr yogurt and brewed with smoked salt, cumin and Icelandic herbs.

And as the Icelandic Invasion is not limited to the presentation of unique beers, it also offers a visual art exhibition and a selection of music from the Scandinavian island. Skál!
