Wales have one foot in the past 16 in Euro 2020 after defeating Turkey 2-0 at Baku.
Wales were nearly ahead inside half an hour when Bale slipped Aaron Ramsey through.
Turkey responded immediately and Burak Yilmaz’s campaign was deflected just wide by Chris Mepham.
Ramsey had missed a fantastic opportunity halfway through the first period when Bale discovered him with a beautiful ball.
However, the Juventus guy made no error when Bale seen him with another excellent pass and Ramsey tucked the ball beyond Cakir because of his 17th Wales goal.
Goalkeeper Danny Ward made a great late save to deny Turkey replacement Merih Demiral from close selection.
Wales guaranteed victory in the last minutes of stoppage time when Bale – who missed a penalty – setup Connor Roberts to score from close selection.
The 2-0 win goes Wales towards the very top of Group A with four points from two matches. .
Earlier in the afternoon, Russia maintained a 1-0 win over Finland from St Petersburg to bounce back from their defeat to Belgium.
