Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan accused Armenia of provoking with the purpose of creating a new hotbed of tension on the border with Azerbaijan.
“We strongly condemn the attack of Armenia on the fraternal Azerbaijan. Because of the systematic attacks of Armenia we are very concerned about. This is a deliberate attack. Erdogan promised Azerbaijan support Turkey “against any attacks.”
Sunday on the border of Armenia and Azerbaijan, an armed clash killed three soldiers of the Azerbaijani armed forces and five others were injured. On Monday, the defense Ministry of Azerbaijan said about the mortar shelling of the village on the border with Armenia. In the Armenian defense Ministry denied this information. Armenia also reported the deaths of two soldiers during the conflict.
