Russian overseas missions will postpone the holding of collective events dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the Victory in the great Patriotic war, pandemic coronavirus. This was stated at a briefing on Wednesday the official representative of Russian foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova.
"Revised the existing graphics formats and many previously scheduled events that were timed to the 75th anniversary of Victory in the great Patriotic war. In particular, it was decided to postpone the holding of receptions in the Russian diplomatic missions, public ceremonies of laying wreaths to the Russian war memorials, exhibitions, concerts, meetings with compatriots and sports".
The diplomat noted that in the current epidemiological situation in the Russian overseas missions are going to focus on their respective shares in the media.
"we are Talking about exhibitions, special exhibitions, including a retrospective video and photo of the war years, the broadcasts of artistic and documentary films of Russian cinema, and documentaries about the great Patriotic war," she added.
In addition, according to Zakharov, Russian diplomats and participate in organized local authorities, including in the virtual world memorial events.
"In this situation greatly hampered the presentation of veterans commemorative medals. In this regard, organizes individual awards with the departure of the representatives of the diplomatic missions of the MFA of the Russian Federation to veterans at their place of residence, as well as the administration of the medals in the mail," she said.
All this is done in strict accordance to the epidemiological situation, with those requirements, which are made by local authorities abroad, said the official representative of the foreign Ministry.
Zakharova pointed out that, given the impossibility of the organization of the may 9 Protocol and other important stock, considering options of transferring them to a later date.
