BRUSSELS, 25 June. /TASS/. the European Commission (EC) considers that the amendment of the priority of the Russian Constitution over international law violates the obligations of the Russian Federation.
With the corresponding statement was made at a press-conference in Brussels, the representative of the foreign service of the EC Peter Stano.
“There are various amendments, One of them we are particularly interested in. We are talking about the amendment, which puts the Russian Constitution over international law and decisions of international tribunals. This amendment, according to the Venice Commission, does not meet international obligations of the Russian Federation”, — he said.
