Tuchel had hopes of a transfer to Chelsea: According to the British media, Chelsea coach Thomas Tuchel is said to have fought for a commitment from the 25-year-old Frenchman. Both once worked together at BVB. So successful that Barcelona did everything they could to buy Dembélé five years ago. Tuchel now had high hopes of being able to lure the dribbler to London thanks to the good cooperation at the time.

Frenchman injured again and again: Dembélé joined the Catalans in 2017 and has been thrown back by injuries since then. In 150 appearances for Barça, the 2018 world champion has 32 goals and 34 assists. He was Spanish champion twice and won the cup twice.
