Acting Khabarovsk territory Governor Mikhail Degtyarev spoke about the upcoming trial of the former head of the region Sergey Furgala, who was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder. His words at a meeting with inhabitants of the region, reports TASS.
According to Degtyareva, the trial Forgalom must pass in an open mode. “People want to see. Because if irrefutable evidence is there, people need to know,” said he.
Degtyarev was appointed acting head of the Khabarovsk Krai by the decree of the President of Russia Vladimir Putin on 20 July. He said that he came to the region with the aim to ensure the functioning of institutions and socio-economic development of the region. The politician assured that if dismissed in connection with loss of trust Furgala will justify, he will “pack up your things and leave.”
Sergey Furgala was arrested July 10 on suspicion in attempt at murder of the businessman Alexander Smolsky and ordering the murders of two businessmen Eugene dawns and Oleg Bulatov. Crimes were committed in 2004-2005 in the territory of the Khabarovsk territory and Amur region. The politician pleaded not guilty and thinks the criminal case against him initiated by “certain officials”.
