Today, October 7, 2024, is the last day to register to vote in Texas for the upcoming general election. If you are looking to register, you must ensure that your application is postmarked by today or hand-delivered to your county’s voter registrar office.

To check your voter registration status or update your address, you can visit your county’s website. If you need to register, you can print out an application from the county website, the Texas Secretary of State’s website, or pick one up at post offices or DMV offices.

It is recommended by officials to submit your voter registration application in person. You can find locations to register in person on the county website. If you choose to mail in your application, make sure to have it postmarked by October 7 to ensure timely processing.

Early voting for the election will begin on October 21, and applications for mail-in ballots must be received by October 25. The Election Day is set for November 5, 2024.
