In the upcoming episodes of the soap opera “Renascer”, Damião (Xamã) will take a shocking step to earn Egídio’s (Vladimir Brichta) trust. It all starts when he finds out that Eliana (Sophie Charlotte) is pregnant. Believing himself to be the father of her child, Damião will not accept staying away and will go to Egídio’s farm to ask to work for him. Eliana will beg her lover to leave, but he will not accept. She will then call the colonel for a conversation and confess that she had an affair with the gunman shortly after being abandoned by Venâncio (Rodrigo Simas). Eliana will argue that they no longer have anything with each other, but she would not like him to stay on the farm. Egídio will be furious and will have a conversation with Damião, who will be in the area where the calves stay on the farm. The employee will lie, saying that he only got involved with Eliana once, but there is nothing more between them. Egídio, however, will say that he needs a proof of trust. He will then pick up the same hot iron that marked Marçal (Osvaldo Mil). “It’s not against your word… but I need someone I can trust blindly,” Egídio will say. The gunman will approach and reply, “You can trust me to death!” Damião will then take off his shirt, pick up the iron from the colonel, and mark himself.
In the meantime, changes have been made in the new version of ‘Renascer’. The ending of Tião Galinha will be different. In 1993, he appeared hanged in jail. The author and director believe that the shocking sequence is inappropriate for today’s audience. Another change is the romance between Joana and Zinha. In 1993, Joana got involved with Lívio, who was a priest. Zinha herself is a novelty in this version. In the original, the character was a man: Zinho Jupará, played by Cosme dos Santos. Another new addition to the remake is the character Dalva (Maria Zenayde), the leader of the campers who will be a great influence on Tião.

Damião notices the strange way Ritinha treats Kika. Zinha tells José Inocêncio about Tião Galinha’s arrest.
On Tuesday, Mariana leaves Egídio’s house because of Sandra. José Inocêncio asks Kika and Bento to release Tião from jail. Kika accuses the sheriff of abuse of authority and religious intolerance for arresting Tião. Damião threatens Bento to confess his relationship with Ritinha. Inácia appeals to the promise Damião made to Chico. Dalva welcomes Tião at the camp. Pastor Lívio advises Joana not to abandon Tião. Mariana seeks shelter with Norberto at the store. Damião asks José Inocêncio for permission to leave the farm. Egídio admits to Marçal that it is possible that the Inocêncio family is not involved in his attack. José Inocêncio is surprised to see Mariana at Norberto’s store.
The week continues with more twists and turns in the lives of the characters in ‘Renascer’. On Wednesday, Mariana and José Inocêncio have a friendly conversation. Joana tries to convince Tião to give up his dreams. José Inocêncio confesses to João Pedro that he acted wrongly towards him and admits to being a burden in his son’s life all these years. Egídio reveals to Marçal that he is thinking about getting rid of Eliana. Morena takes care of Sandra. Meire thanks Buba’s friends for taking care of her daughter in her absence. Kika advises Augusto to go to Rio to be with Buba. Sandra ends her marriage with João Pedro definitively and announces that she will leave the village. Mariana decides to accompany João Pedro on the cocoa delivery, to Sandra’s dismay.
On Thursday, Egídio considers taking advantage of Mariana and João Pedro’s closeness. Buba is hurt by Humberto’s disregard. João Pedro tells Mariana that he loves Sandra. Sandra catches Joana threatening Egídio. Eliana tells Damião that she will not leave with him until she gets the money for the cocoa. Augusto is not happy to see Buba with Décio and feels jealous. Buba asks her mother not to separate from Humberto. Humberto reacts hostilely to Augusto’s presence at the hospital. Sandra is moved to learn that João Pedro did not return from Ilhéus with Mariana. Eliana feels the threat from Egídio and Marçal against her.
On Friday, Eliana confronts Egídio. Norberto blames himself for Rachid’s disappearance. Sandra confesses to Zinha that she feels responsible for the bad things that happened to João Pedro. Mariana tries to seduce João Pedro. Sandra tells Iolanda that she will return to Salvador. Marçal tells Egídio that Iolanda and Eliana are joining forces against him. Mariana is shocked to learn that João Pedro left her alone at the hotel. João Pedro makes it clear to Sandra that he will wait for her as long as necessary. Sandra returns home and asks Egídio if he was serious when he said he wanted her in charge of the farm.
On Saturday, Sandra offers to take care of her father’s farm. Pastor Lívio talks to Dona Patroa. Mariana mourns the loss of João Pedro’s love. Aurora demands an explanation from José Inocêncio for his disappearance. Mariana asks Inácia for help to find out who killed Belarmino. Kika is impressed by Bento’s change. Aurora reveals to José Inocêncio that she wants to see him by her side. José Inocêncio offers his house to Mariana, mentioning the possibility of moving to Espírito Santo. Mariana threatens José Inocêncio. Inácia tells Teca that Aurora might save José Inocêncio from the third ambush. Sandra informs Marçal of her intention to change the operation of her father’s farm and announces that she is the one in charge now.
