Anyone who orders goods online must rely on the deliverers to handle the package carefully.
Problems arise again and again with parcel services – parcels or even the contents can be damaged. But this DPD customer’s package is the last straw. The contents, an induction hob that she had ordered, was completely destroyed.
“Thank you, DPD Germany for the great delivery today. Your colleague must have dropped the package…” writes the angry customer on Facebook.
She continues: “As quickly as he disappeared again, he was certainly aware of what had happened. Instead of an induction hob, I now have a box of electronic waste and glass waste.”

In the attached pictures you can see the package that is completely torn open on one of the edges. The included induction hob, wrapped in plastic, consists only of shards and debris. In the video at the end, she tilts the hob’s packaging back and forth so that you can hear the clinking of the shards.
The customer has already requested a complaint along with the pictures. However, this only helps her to a limited extent as, according to her own statement, she will not receive a new hob in time, as replacement products have to be expected to have at least the same delivery time.

DPD explains on its website: “If the goods in the package arrive damaged, we ask you to first contact the sender and report the damage. Please understand that we can only initiate an investigation and examine damage on their behalf.” If this has happened, the sender can claim the damage and offer a refund, new delivery or something similar.
