Cristiano Ronaldo and Georgina Rodriguez announced their pregnancy in October
Cristiano Ronaldo, Manchester United footballer, and Georgina Rodriguez, his partner, have announced the passing of their baby boy. They said it was the “greatest pain any parent can feel”.
Rodriguez, 28, and Portugal, 37-year-old international were expecting twins.
Their baby girl survived and they say that her birth “gives them the strength to live this moment in hope and happiness”.
“Our baby boy. You are our angel. They wrote, “We will always love and cherish you,”

They released a statement via social media saying: “It’s with deepest sorrow that we must announce the passing of our baby boy.
“We are all deeply grieved by this loss, and we ask for your privacy during this difficult time.”
The couple had already announced their pregnancy in October.
Manchester United tweeted “Your pain, our pain.” We send strength and love to you and your family during this difficult time.
Marcus Rashford, Marcus’ teammate, said on social media that he was sorry and thought of Georgina brother.
Manchester United confirmed that Ronaldo would not be able to play against Liverpool on Tuesday evening.
The club stated that Ronaldo was supporting his family during this difficult time.
“As such, it is confirmed that he will not be playing in Tuesday’s match against Liverpool at Anfield. We also reiterate the family’s desire for privacy.
“Cristiano! We are all thinking about you and sending strength to your family.”
Ronaldo’s former club Real Madrid stated that the club, their president, and board of directors were “deeply saddened” by this news. They also added: “Real shares the pain of the family and wishes to send them all our warmth.”
Manchester City, Leeds United, and the Premier League also sent condolence messages via Twitter
Ronaldo is the father of Cristiano Jr., a son born in 2010 and twins Eva, Mateo, born in 2017. He also has a daughter, Alana Martina, with Rodriguez. She was born in 2017.
