MOSCOW, 29 Sep – RIA Novosti. Committees of the Federation Council on international Affairs and on defense, at a joint meeting on Wednesday supported the appeal chamber to the parliaments and peoples of the world about the inadmissibility of falsification of history of the Second world war and the rehabilitation of Nazism.
According to the head of the international Federation Council Committee Konstantin Kosachev, the document will be further revised. Tentatively, the next meeting of the Federation Council will take place on may 20.
Kosachev noted that in the document the senators declare the inadmissibility of the distortion of a number of foreign politicians of the history regarding the Second world war. “Such actions are immoral, a criminal against those who gave their lives for the liberation of the land from this evil,” – said the MP.
in addition, the senators claim that the authorities of the countries on whose territory the battle took place, has a special responsibility for the preservation of memory, the memorial complex to the liberators.
the Russian parliamentarians also expressed the need to prosecute participants of the Nazi, Bandera, and other radical movements and their followers, said Kosachev.
the Federation Council intends to urge the parliaments of the world to prevent the falsification of history about the events of the Second world war, and to recognize the victory over Nazism, the world heritage of mankind.
