The President of Kazakhstan, Kasym-Zhomart Tokayev congratulated the Russian leader Vladimir Putin’s check the world’s first vaccine against coronavirus infection, reported the press service of the President of Kazakhstan.
“This event confirms the high potential and the prestige of Russian science and the leading role of Russia in the fight against this global threat”, – TASS quoted Tokayev.
The head of state expressed gratitude for the “unwavering support of Kazakhstan in a difficult time for the whole world”, including by sending humanitarian aid and doctors.
In turn, the Minister of labour, employment and social Affairs of Serbia Zoran Djordjevic said that the establishment of the Russian vaccine has historical significance for all mankind.
“I personally was very happy to hear that the vaccine created and registered, this is important news for mankind and big news for Serbia, because, as promised by our President Aleksandar Vucic, Serbia will be one of the first countries to get the vaccine”, he said.
Djordjevic glad that Russia managed to register the vaccine first. He also expressed the hope that Serbian experts will soon have access to the drug, so he could pass all inspections and tests.
On Tuesday, President Vladimir Putin announced the registration in Russia, the first vaccine against the coronavirus. It was called “Satellite V” by analogy with the launch of the first artificial Earth satellite in 1957.
As follows from the data of the state register of medicines of the Ministry of health of the Russian vaccine will go into circulation on 1 January 2021. As later reported in the FUND received bids for the purchase of 1 billion doses of vaccines against coronavirus from more than 20 countries.
Minister of health Michael Murashko said that the Agency recommends to get a flu shot doctors, patients with obesity, heart disease, lung and diabetes.
