Chinese news portal Sohu has named the 10 most mysterious places in Russia, reports TASS.
The list includes Sami labyrinths of Karelia, erected by the Inuit Whale alley on the island Itygran off the coast of Chukotka, settlement of Arkaim in the Chelyabinsk region and the lake Svetloyar, where, according to legend, sank ancient Kitezh-grad.
In addition, the rating of the most mysterious places in Russia turned out to be Teletskoye and Plescheevo lake, Vasyugan swamp, Kalkulacka cave, Patriarch’s ponds and the mountain Kholat syakhl, which killed a group of tourists led by Igor Dyatlov.
