And that was ten years after the great Victory, when in 1955 on 9 July in the capital of Belarus was solemnly opened a Children’s railway, which later was named after the legendary Belarusian partisan Constantine Zaslonov.
Despite the name, the younger brother, “pot”, located in the center of Minsk near the Chelyuskintsev Park, retains all the attributes of this track: locomotives with cars, traffic rules, heads of the three stations, drivers and conductors.
However, there are also differences: from the great trunk, for example, different gauge widths of 750 mm and a length of the track is 4.5 km away.
In the journey of the train along with the young passengers will travel this Thursday at exactly eleven o’clock in the morning from the station “Zaslonovo”, BelTA learned from the city authorities. It is from here that goes every year and return compositions. In addition, the way will be two more stops: the station “Pine forest” and the station “pioneer”.

By the way, usually the first passengers, said the Agency, are accepted here in may, but this year was planned renovation of the station. Therefore, the opening of the season has decided to postpone until July 9 – important dates in the history of the Children’s railway.
