The man, Cristian Rangel, went missing on April 8 and his body was discovered on April 19 near an Austin greenbelt. Wooldridge has been charged with tampering with human remains and was reportedly involved in Rangel’s death and the disposal of his body.
Wooldridge’s attorney, Benjamin Gergen, declined to comment on the case when reached out to by KXAN. Wooldridge was arrested and charged on June 4, according to Travis County jail records. The case is being investigated as Austin’s 39th homicide of 2024.
