Singer Prokhor Chaliapin on his page in Instagram spoke on the topic of state support for Russian artists. While discussing raising the subject, he expressed solidarity with the opinion of the musician Sergei Shnurov.
Chaliapin said that when it comes to supporting artists, in the first place, according to him, it is necessary to assist the employees of the state and national theaters, musicians, working in restaurants, as well as representatives of circuses, choirs and dance ensembles.
The singer stressed that the support required for people who do not have access to TV, but “earning a living by creative labor,” develop the art and preserve the culture in the country.
“the First galaxy (the artists) so to speak” is nothing more than a cabal on TV, serving a certain class and spitting at a broad audience from the height of his greatness,” wrote Chaliapin, noting that solidarity in this matter with Sergei Shnurov (spelling and punctuation of the author saved – approx. ed.).
He stressed that a true people’s artist needs to show respect and compassion for others, to whom is, and not throw inspirational words about love for the Motherland.
