Novosibirsk state research center of Virology and biotechnology “Vector” has begun second stage testing of its vaccine against coronavirus. About this informed the head of Rospotrebnadzor Anna Popova. According to her, all participating volunteers feel good.
“Today, clinical trials are conducted, all volunteers, who were selected in a special way, feel good. Those who introduced the vaccine had no reactions, not even the slightest redness at the injection site,” – said the head of Rospotrebnadzor. Answering the question about the difference in vaccine-centers of Gamaliel and “Vector”, she explained that Russia, like any other country, needs to have several different vaccines against coronavirus.
Earlier, Rospotrebnadzor, which is responsible for “Vector” obtained the permit of the Ministry of health to conduct clinical vaccine trials on human volunteers reported that in the second phase of clinical trials of the vaccine will receive 86 volunteers. And in the first phase of clinical trials involved five volunteers aged from 18 to 30 years. The head of “Vector” Rinat Maksyutov said that the production of the vaccine is planned for November.
