(Paris) French actress Carole Bouquet, former partner of Gérard Depardieu, targeted by several complaints for rape and sexual assault and at the heart of a scandal that has become politico-media, said she was “afraid for him” Thursday evening on television .
“I have a real problem with what is happening with Gérard at the moment… I am afraid for him,” declared the actress on the Quotidien show on TMC, defending the man who was his companion for ten years and a beloved actor before falling into opprobrium.
“This media court continues, it’s been going on for months and it’s killing a man. I can not support it. I have no possible tenderness for someone who turns out to be a monster, but that is not the case with Gérard,” she continued.
“Gérard is capable of being rude, of having sometimes borderline humor, but he is incapable of hurting a woman,” she assured, recalling having experienced “ten years of sexuality” with him.
“Let’s stop the reveling,” she urged again.
The President of the Republic Emmanuel Macron, the actor’s daughter, Julie Depardieu, on television, and before her members of her family, in a forum, spoke publicly to defend Gérard Depardieu, indicted at the following one of the two complaints he is the subject of in France and which refutes these accusations.
