Russia free re-visas to foreigners cancel trips to the country due to the pandemic coronavirus. This was stated in interview to the newspaper “Kommersant” Deputy foreign Minister of Russia Yevgeny Ivanov.
the Agency will offer to foreign nationals, who apply for a Russian visa from mid-March and not visiting the country to obtain a similar visa free of charge. Ivanov noted that many had to migrate to international business trips and to change personal plans due to the epidemic.
“the Russian normative legal acts do not provide for the possibility of extending the visa if it is issued but not used. It would be wrong to ignore this problem, but we need to understand the requirements of the legislation under which it is possible to search for its solution. By itself, the visa is in fact a document with a limited validity period”, — said the Deputy Minister.
According to him, to replace the visa in the next six months after the lifting of restrictions on entry into Russia. Citizens will be required to produce documents which are the legal basis for the issuance of a visa for a new term.
