Jevon Carter, a former Brooklyn Nets player, was signed by the Milwaukee Bucks on Thursday.
Carter was signed by the Bucks as the defending champion. He played against Milwaukee and Phoenix in the NBA Finals last year. This addition comes just over one week after DeAndre’ Benbyy, a former Nets forward, was signed by the Bucks.
Carter averaged 3.6 point, 1.5 rebounds and 1.0 assists in 46 games played with the Nets. Carter, 26, has a career average of 4.3 points and 1.7 rebounds as well as 1.3 assists. He also played 13.7 minutes in four seasons, including those with Memphis, Phoenix, and Brooklyn.
Carter was traded to the Nets with Landry Shamet in August. Memphis selected Carter from West Virginia with the 32nd selection in the 2018 draft. He was the Big 12’s defensive player of year twice.
Bembry joined Bucks just one week after the Nets released him. In 48 games played with Brooklyn, Bembry averaged 5.8 points and 3.2 rebounds. He also had 1.3 assists, 1.3 steals, and 19.8 minutes.
