A broken satellite remote sensing (remote sensing) “Resurs-P” №3 has earned, reported TASS the Rocket and space center “Progress” that had produced the spacecraft.
According to the press service of the enterprise, the target application satellite “resumed from 22 April 2020”.
In January 2019, the General Director of “Progress” Dmitry Baranov stated that remote sensing satellites “Resource-P” №2 and №3 are not working due to failure of the electronics.
In November 2018, Roskosmos, told RIA Novosti that the “Resource-P” №2 is removed from the group, and the satellite number 3 is on the study of the chief designer.
Satellites “Resource-P” №1, №2 and №3 was launched in June 2013, December 2014 and March 2016, respectively, on the rocket “Soyuz-2.1 b” from the Baikonur cosmodrome. The first spacecraft, the regular carrying out its functions, was made before the introduction of sanctions against Russia due to the annexation of Crimea and events in the South-East of Ukraine.
