The Flash and Elemental, the two major new American releases, took first and second place, respectively, at the Quebec box office in their first weekend.
DC Studios’ superhero flick raised $536,057 while Pixar’s animated feature earned $463,376. Another animated work, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, closed the podium with a collection of $362,603, bringing its total to more than 2.5 million in three weeks.
The Quebec film Cœur de slush, by Mariloup Wolfe, generated $130,828, considerably more than Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 and Fast X, which follow at just over $90,000 each.
Note that Transformers: Rise of the Beasts (ranked fourth) crossed the one million mark, while The Little Mermaid (ranked fifth) crossed two million.
