Porter Airlines received the award for Best Cabin Service of the Year in North America, awarded by passengers as part of the Airline Passenger Experience Association (APEX) awards.
The Toronto-based airline has made a name for itself by offering free snacks and beverages on board, including in economy class, as well as free high-speed WiFi on its new Embraer E195-E2 aircraft, which is far from the norm in North America.
The carrier also favors Canadian food and beverage brands in order to offer high-quality products.
Prizes are awarded based on anonymous feedback collected from passengers around the world through Concur’s trip-planning app TripIt.
