The events of Ababouiné, the next film by André Forcier (The Forgotten Flowers, Le vent du Wyoming), take place in the Faubourg à m’lasse, a former Montreal neighborhood, in the 1950s.

There are seventh-grade students who are mobilizing so that their poet teacher, expelled because of “his anarchist ideas”, can publish his collection.

The cast includes, among others, Rémi Brideau, Maïla Valentir, Lilou Roy-Lanouette, Miguel Bédard, Rémy Girard, Éric Bruneau, Réal Bossé, Donald Pilon, Luc Senay and Jean-Marie Lapointe.

Produced by Les Films du Paria and Max Films, Ababouiné is an original idea by André Forcier, scripted by François Pinet-Forcier, Laurie Perron, Renaud Pinet-Forcier and Jean Boileau.
