A woman was hit by a train in the track area near Wiesloch (Rhein-Neckar district) and died. According to police reports on Tuesday, the 20-year-old was with a friend on the tracks near a train station on Sunday to take photos with her cell phone.
She noticed the approaching train too late. An emergency stop by the train driver did not prevent the collision. The woman succumbed to her injuries at the scene of the accident. Her companion was in shock.
