AfD politician Carsten Hütter tastelessly insulted Green politician Ricarda Lang on Twitter. The member of the Saxon state parliament received massive criticism for his attack.

The member of the AfD federal board caused huge outrage with his tweet insult to the co-leader of the Alliance Greens. Carsten Hütter is currently being overwhelmed by a wave of criticism on social media.

The Riesa AfD politician Carsten Hütter had put it on Twitter: “What does Ricarda Lang have in common with an elephant? Right, huge body, rather small brain!”

The result: stunned many users in the social networks. The accusation: insult and misogyny. The 58-year-old now gets Twitter poison darts for it himself.

For example, one user described Carsten Hütter as a potato head: “What does Carsten Hütter have in common with Mr Potato Head? Right, a big head but no brains.”

Marie von den Benken is also upset about the AfD post. When comparing processed cheese, Hütter does not come off well: “What is the difference between Carsten Hütter and a pack of processed cheese? Right: The processed cheese has a better chance of becoming politically relevant at some point.”

The person concerned, Ricarda Lang, did not hold back either and thanked an FDP member, who Carsten Hütter had also sharply criticized. She wrote that she “almost chuckles a little at insults that don’t get past 3rd grade schoolyard level.”

Member of the Bundestag Matthias Hauer spoke from the CDU: “Your “comparison” says a lot about you and nothing at all about @Ricarda_Lang. Even if it’s difficult for you: think about it.”
