In Belarus detained citizens of Russia are in no better moral and psychological form, said the Consul of the Russian Embassy in Belarus, Kirill Pletnev.
“We, of course, tried to reassure the Russians, but I have to say frankly that our compatriots are not in the best moral and psychological form,” said the Consul, the TV channel “Russia 1”.
According to him, the Russians don’t understand why they are accused of relationship with opposition leaders of Belarus, “the names of which most of them have never heard of”.
We will remind, Russians detained in Belarus and charged with involvement in the private military company Wagner was arrested on August 1.
Earlier, the Ambassador of Russia in Minsk Dmitry Mezentsev has informed that the basis for the arrival of Russians in Belarus has a contract with a company registered in the Republic. Each of them has the relevant employment contract. He noted that the Russians were going to fly from Minsk to Istanbul in order to “ensure security of energy infrastructure and resources.”
