Billionaire Sergey Sarkisov intervened in the "battle" Azerbaijani and Armenian diasporas. In a special address he called for an end to riots in Moscow and called clashes between Armenians and Azerbaijanis “ingratitude and disrespect to the owners of the house”. The appeal published on behalf of the family Sarkisov and “Assembly of Armenians”, RBC reports.
“I Appeal to the representatives of the Armenian and Azerbaijani intellectuals, business representatives of both nationalities: stop, talk some sense into vandals and extremists. Explain to them that is not in the tradition of our people to arrange a showdown in the house in which you have been accepted, given the opportunity to live and work, learn your children. I mean Russia. Do not disgrace their people, their ancestors. What is happening in these last days, is an illegal form of expression of ingratitude and disrespect to the owners of the house.”
The billionaire urged to stop those who are from outside of Russia provokes his relatives to extremism and violence.
He also noted that his family is ready to repair the damage caused by the vandals of the property of Azerbaijanis in Moscow. He expressed confidence that his act will repeat and Azerbaijani entrepreneurs, who will pay for the damage to the property of Armenians during the riots.
“I Want to assure Muscovites that the representatives of our peoples came to this country in peace, with good intentions, with the purpose of creation, not destruction,” concluded Sarkisov.
Earlier, the Rambler reported that in Moscow, there were several clashes between the Azerbaijanis and Armenians – on the background of aggravation of the conflict in Nagorno-Karabakh.
According to police, during clashes that took place July 23-25, natives of Azerbaijan and Armenia broke Windows and started getting into fights. Arrested more than 30 people. Some were arrested and sent into custody. Prosecuted.
