MOSCOW, 30 Jul – RIA Novosti. Archdeacon Andrei Kuraev, by the decree of Patriarch of Moscow and all Russia Kirill temporarily banned from serving until the decision of the diocesan ecclesiastical court in his case, called future process “sham.”
“It is, in fact, initially a fiction,” said Kuraev RIA Novosti, answering a question the Agency about the reaction to the forthcoming Church trial.

Earlier Kuraev in his LiveJournal offensive spoke about the late Yelokhovo Cathedral rector Archpriest Alexander Ageikin, which caused a sharp reaction from the clergy of the Moscow Patriarchate. As a result, the archdeacon by the decree of the Patriarch was temporarily banned in the priesthood – to the consideration of this act and other acts, which received complaints from the Patriarch, the diocesan ecclesiastical court. This court decides on the fate of Kuraev in the Church. In recent years the archdeacon allowed himself a very sharp criticism of the Russian Orthodox Church and its hierarchy.
