After a few years off the air, Show da Fé has returned to Band’s programming schedule starting from last Friday night (12). The channel made a change and confirmed the return of missionary R.R. Soares, airing from 9:20 pm to 10:15 pm, cutting 40 minutes from Melhor da Noite and also 15 minutes from Perrengue do Dia.

This strategic move by the band shows their priority to adjust the schedule to accommodate the church program in order to overcome the crisis. The decision to bring back Show da Fé and give more airtime to the church indicates a shift in programming focus towards religious content.

It’s interesting to note that the channel had previously made a similar move in 2022, giving the church airtime in the morning with a different program. Now, the morning slot is reserved for Igreja Unida Deus Proverá, which kicks off every morning with Desperta Brasil.

The article also mentions that the channel had never disclosed the exact amount R.R. Soares paid for the airtime. Speculations in the media suggested it could be around R$ 8 million per month, totaling an annual revenue of R$ 96 million. The contract was rumored to have an annual adjustment clause.

Band’s decision to cut Best of the Night and prioritize the church program shows their willingness to adapt to the changing landscape and cater to a different audience. This strategic move reflects the band’s efforts to overcome the crisis and stay relevant in the ever-evolving media industry.

Overall, the return of Show da Fé to Band’s programming schedule marks a significant shift in the channel’s content strategy. By adjusting their schedule and giving more airtime to religious programming, the band is making a bold move to connect with a new audience and navigate through the current challenges in the media industry.
