Formula 1 is in chaos. The first eight departments of the WORLD cup 2020 is cancelled or deferred, and no one knows when the first contest to take place.
And the Formula 1-the crisis is also hitting Danish interests.
while Kevin Magnussen supposedly builds playhouse for søren kierkegaard’s niece, and Romain Grosjean to entertain his fans with more daily Instagram-lookup, then think about Haas F1 Team owner Gene Haas deep thoughts about the future.
Haas did not create its Formula 1 team to earn money, so naive is he not. But he wanted to create a sound business, where he with the help of tv-money and external sponsors could promote its machine tools efficiently and relatively cheaply.
It had to happen to get Haas-the name of all sorts of tv screens and by getting the goodwill of existing and potential customers with invitations to the exclusive Formula 1-environment
The large, external sponsors are – apart from an embarrassing flirt with fupfirmaet Rich Energy – lacking. And the tv money is after the sharp fall from fifth to ninth place in the WORLD cup was reduced significantly.
And now, when we’re talking sponsors, then have one of Haas F1 Teams get external sponsors, the Danish Bestseller (in the form of Jack & Jones), just now its own economic problems, which may have an impact on the Formula 1 programme.
In very round numbers, it costs three million dollars a day to keep the Haas F1 Team running. The majority comes from Gene Haas himself, and he can rightly put into question by its investment in Formula 1.
Reduced tv revenue, lack of sponsors, no tv exposure, and no running to invite guests to only millionudgifter day in and day out.
Gene Haas as have all the other team owners are only committed to Formula 1 and with this season. In the current economic climate, I can well understand if he is reluctant to enter into a new agreement.
Regardless of whether Haas F1 Team continues, Kevin Magnussen on. He still has ambitions on grandprix victories and WORLD cup titles, and it achieves he not at Haas. He must go further, and 2021 are similar in many ways the last chance.
He contract with Haas expires, and at the same time up to 80 percent of the field outside the 2021 agreements. It means that it is now, Magnussen must advance.
But it assumes that there is interest for the dane, and that assumes that Magnussen can do the advertising for themselves.
It gave Haas’ problematic 2019 model VF19 him the opportunity, and that is why these months are so critical.
But without the years can Magnussen does not have to prove that he deserves a chance in a better team, and without an effective marketing campaign behind the scenes, he risks to be forgotten.
And the work behind the scenes has never been a core competence in the dane’s hinterland.
When the WORLD cup 2020 will come in time, will Magnussen with its uncompromising approach again in focus. But then it may already be too late, as many teams filled their 2021-seats.
And then there’s Christian Lundgaard. Renault team boss Cyril Abiteboul brought in Melbourne the young dane on the pitch, as a potential Formula 1-is already running in 2021. It would be the culmination of a great meteoric career, which in four years had sent the Danish teen from go-karting to Formula 1.
But the compressed ’road map’ requires a full season in Formula 2 this year, and so far five of the scheduled 12 races were cancelled or postponed.
these are hard times for Formula 1 – not at least seen with Danish eyes.
