In the ENEA again made an unusual discovery. During restoration work, found a historic sign of pavilion No. 8 “Young naturalists”. She graced the main entrance to the pavilion since its construction in 1954 until 1959. For a long time this part of the decor of the facade was considered completely lost. However, it turned out that it just closed a different guise in the repair that took place over 60 years ago.
the Sign “Young naturalists” in a rare pavilions ENEA manner. Letters are printed by font-serif with large half-ovals. They are recessed in the plaster background.
“This font is well recognized and widely used chart in the 1950-ies. The letters are later filled with a solution — probably in the time period when the pavilion has changed its name, and the new sign has not yet been made. Now this genuine detail of the monument, hidden from the eyes of more than 60 years, will be carefully cleared and strengthened,” — said the head of the Department.
later Dismantled sign “of Young naturalists and technicians” 1959 will be saved. While she is inside the pavilion, after restoration work, the decision will be made about how to exhibit.
