Archimandrite Ilian (of Plamenac) of the Trinity Sergius Lavra in Sergiev Posad near Moscow died on Monday from complications caused by a coronavirus, according to the working group when Patriarch Kirill for the coordination of the activities of Church institutions in terms of the spread of coronavirus infection.
This is the fourth confirmed death of a monk of the Lavra as a result of infection COVID-19.
