Mass vaccination from COVID-19 in Russia will begin in a month. This was stated by the Director of the center of a name of Gamalei Alexander Gintsburg, reports RIA Novosti.
The specialist explained that the delay is due to the need to send a large part of the already developed vaccine post-licensure study.
“After that the rest of the products go to the civil turnover. The delay is 2-3 weeks, maybe a month,” said Ginzburg.
The Ministry of health of Russia registered the vaccine under the name “Satellite V”, developed by the research center of Gamaliel. In the civil circulation the drug must be received in January 2021. The state will take control of the distribution of vaccines to the regions.
