Oscar winner Jane Fonda has gushed about meeting football legend Tom Brady on the set of road trip comedy 80 for Brady. “I actually got weak in the knees when he entered my trailer,” the 85-year-old told The Hollywood Reporter at the premiere in Palms Springs, California. If someone is the best in the world at what they do, you have to honor and respect that. ´”I was just in awe,” Fonda continued.
80 for Brady is slated to hit theaters in February. The comedy is inspired by a true story: Four best friends traveled to the Super Bowl in 2017 to see star quarterback Tom Brady. In addition to Oscar winner Jane Fonda (“Klute”, “Coming Home”), Lily Tomlin, Rita Moreno, Sally Field (all between 76 and 91 years old) also play – and the American football superstar is of course also in the strip see.
The film start date is of course not entirely coincidental. The Super Bowl will be played in February. And Tom Brady still has every chance to add an eighth to his seven wins. He had already made the playoffs with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on the penultimate game day, so the 17:30 (17:10) away defeat against the Atlanta Falcons at the weekend was irrelevant. Brady broke his own 2021 NFL record by five, completing 490 passes that season.
And now the Buccaneers will face the Dallas Cowboys in the first round of the playoffs. Tampa Bay played significantly worse than Dallas in the season and so the Cowboys are also the favorites for the bookmakers. But no player has as much playoff experience as Tom Brady, which is why there should be a close duel on Tuesday night.
And of course Brady wants to make it to the Super Bowl. Tickets have been sold out for months, but you can experience the NFL spectacle live on site. Click here for all details:
