the Reduction of production and the consequences of the universal isolation of coronavirus pandemic will reduce real disposable income by 5 to 10 percent in 2020, says academician Abel Aganbegyan. He stated in an online discussion organized by the Higher school of corporate management, Ranepa.
“Pandemic coronavirus would reduce Russia’s GDP by at least 5 percent, – said Abel Aganbegyan. As a result, real disposable incomes will be reduced in the range from 5 to 10 percent, and the number of poor will increase in half to two times.”
the academician Aganbegyan admits that the peak incidence of coronavirus could be passed on April 19 – the day the increase in the number of infected COVID-19 was the maximum.
“However, this may be a temporary drawdown, to understand what’s really going on can only be made after two or three weeks, when the trend has become apparent”, – said Abel Aganbegyan.
