The renovation programme is very important for the capital since around one million people live today in conditions of pre-crash housing, said Moscow mayor Sergei Sobyanin the TV channel “Russia-1”.

According to Sobyanin, in the construction of new neighborhoods, it is important not to forget about social objects and about the creation of green areas – parks, squares, green spaces.
The programme of renovation of housing provided by the resettlement of over 1 million residents from the old housing (mostly five-story “Khrushchev”) in new apartments built at the expense of the city. The program has already commissioned more than 50 houses with a total area of about 700 thousand square meters.
Earlier in the Moscow city Duma did not rule out the possibility of expanding the program of renovation in the capital after the implementation of the commitments in the “first wave”.
