This summer Russia will become more frequent natural disasters. This was stated by senior researcher at the main geophysical Observatory imeni A. I. Voyeykov Andrey Kiselev in an interview with the portal Ura.ru.

The expert suggests that summer in Russia is warm. The sharp rise in temperature in the far North could lead to permafrost degradation. According to a climatologist, this is likely to entail accidents at linear facilities: pipelines, highways, transmission lines. On the other hand, the melting of glaciers opens up new opportunities for shipping.
