President Vladimir Putin said that while working in the state security agencies worked mainly on lines of illegal intelligence.
“of Course, we must always remember how to behave our ancestors – fathers, mothers, grandparents. And always be guided by how they relate to the Homeland, the Fatherland, especially if it’s in danger,” said Putin in interview of broadcasting company “Mir”.
According to the President, based on this heritage, the people must regulate their own behavior. “But how we would have behaved in a similar situation, should depend on us,” he said, reports RIA “Novosti”.
“My first job was in the public security organs after graduating from Leningrad state University. Pretty quickly I found myself working in foreign intelligence, mainly worked on lines of illegal intelligence. We were brought up in a spirit of extreme devotion to the Fatherland. But God forbid we get into the position in which fell in 1941 our fathers and grandfathers,” – said Putin.
Earlier, Putin revealed his pseudonym, which was used to intelligence: Platov.
